Sir Digby -- Saturday June 4th, 2011

Just A Touch Rescue is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit corporation and was created in order to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home dogs who are in need of a permanent, loving home. Unlike shelters and breed-specific rescue organizations, we focus the majority of our resources on rescuing dogs who have unique physical, emotional and developmental needs due to their upbringing in puppy mills across the country, and dogs that have suffered from abuse or neglect. We are dedicated to finding the best forever homes for these extraordinary animals and ensuring that their medical and emotional needs will always be met.

Our animals are individuals with differing medical and emotional needs, and special considerations may be required regarding a home placement.

Our focus is on abused and neglected dogs, dogs with special needs, and dogs from puppy mills. Some may require extra medical attention, some have physical or emotional disabilities, but all require patience, love and attention. They all need the touch of a loving hand and a caring heart ....

Until you have held a tiny puppy in your arms as it kissed your face with slobbery puppy breath and felt their love,

Until you have held an injured or severely ill dog in your arms and felt their pain,

And until you have looked into the eyes of a tired aging senior dog and felt their wisdom,

You will never understand the life of a rescuer.

We find beauty in the most incomprehensible places and the otherwise homely faces. It is our gift to see beyond the dirt, terror, sadness and defeat and find the true soul that lies within.

We are Rescue.
