BENNY HAS FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME!!!
Benny is a 3 1/2 year old 25-lb Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso mix in
need of a patient, loving home.

Benny is a joy to have and gets along with our other 2 dogs
and any others he meets.  He is, however, both laid back
AND hyper.  He loves to take naps and cuddle with both of
our dogs.  He doesn't "leave them alone" as they put it.  He
loves the company of other dogs for both cuddling during
nap times and for rough-housing for about 1-2 hours a day.
He and our dog Tray have playtime every afternoon and
again in the evening where they chase each other around
and "fight" like a couple of puppies who think they are
MUCH smaller than they really are.  This doesn't bother us
at all because it's what dogs do.

If you are looking for a 2nd dog that's not interested in
playtimes, I'd suggest another dog (one at least 5 years old)
that's no longer in the most playful years of life.  Benny even
plays on walks which can make potty time quite interesting.
He also LOVES toys and carries one with him
EVERYWHERE like a little pacifier, which is really endearing.

He's just very playful.  With humans and dogs (and birds!)
alike.  His first couple days he was very calm and quiet but
that was due to the mats that prevented his walking
comfortably.  Ever since he got groomed, he loves to play
and pounce around.

I should get more pics for the website since his coat is more
natural now.   We'll get them for you the first sunny day,
maybe we can get some shots of him playing with Tray so
you can see that while it's rambunctious, it's very normal.
He's also very vocal now.  Not barking so much indoors (he
only does so when someone is coming in or when we are
leaving but that's more like "Hey!  You're forgetting me!") but
he does bark outside whenever people come around.  If
those people are patient, he does eventually calm down and
then never barks at them again but goes for petting.  By
vocal I meant, he talks in this growly, mumble kind of speech
during play and during human meal times and when he has
to potty.  It's amazing that he's smart enough not to bark but
to vocalize to catch our attention...like we could ignore those
big brown eyes anyway!

Well, I hope that helps.  He's not likely to "leave a dog
alone" because he does have some energy that while it's not
excessive, it is certainly playful and exuberant at times.
Oh, and he is fine sleeping on the floor or the bed but will
have to sleep in the same room with his human parents.  He
does not like to be left alone even for a little while.  He will
even join me for a short nap while I take a bath.

I know he'll bring joy, love, and laughter to any home!
