Little Murphy needs your help! Abused and neglected for years, Murphy was
put out on the street to fend for himself. This tiny 3 pound chihuahua had
horrible dental disease, a heart murmur, and knees that were so bad he
could barely walk. He has evidence of bruising, and a possible skull fracture.
Murphy had a reaction to sedation when we sedated him to try and treat his
mouth and do x-rays to determine how bad his conditions are. He died - but
miraculously was brought back to life by a wonderful hospital staff. Murphy
needs your help! The hospital bills are mounting - but Murphy is improving
every day - a little bit at a time. The vets have told us his recovery will be
very slow - we hope he will be home from the hospital by the weekend (5/25).
Please help us give this tiny little man a chance at a life with love instead of
pain! So far his hospital bills are over $4000! Even through it all, he wags his
tail and asks for love and attention. His mouth is so painful - but thankfully
his rotten teeth are now gone, and the infection will hopefully clear up now
with the proper care. The orthopedic surgeon told us his legs had to have
been so very painful all of his life. And this little man is 11 years old!

He will probably never be able to have the surgery to fix his legs - we can not
risk more anesthesia - but we hope that we can find a cart to help this little
man walk pain free.

Murphy needs some special earth angels to help him find love, care, and a
happy, pain free home! Can you help him?

Murphy will be up for adoption once he has healed.
UPDATE 5/25/08:  Sadly, Murphy passed away this morning
at about 9 am.  This little man was a fighter - and he did his
best to hang on - but the damage was to great.  Despite what
was years of pain he was a happy, sweet, snuggly boy.  I will
always remember his wagging tail and the feel of his tiny
body in my arms.  Thanks to everyone for their prayers and
good thoughts and for the donations that were made in his
name.
