My girls

just a note.  I adopted Chai (7.5 lbs) a little over 5 yrs ago and almost 4 yrs
ago 'rescued' Dolly (8 lbs).  Chai came into my life less than 1 lb, no teeth,
and had to be hand fed.  Dolly arrived after only knowing the world from a
2 ft chain, her nails had curled into her pads and had lost most of her teeth.
To me, they are beautiful, maybe not perfect to some people but still my
beautiful girls.

Guestbook Comments = Debbie, bless your heart for what you're doing for
these dogs. They need someone who will stand up for them. A lot of us are
followers...if someone stands up then we will stand up, too. Few are strong
enough to be the first to stand up. You are one of the first.

comments = I can't seem to stop coming back to your site.  I am especially
drawn to Merrigan...she is a cutie!  I had a Miniature Schnauzer for 16
years and 4 months.  Sadly, I had to put her to sleep last May.  I really
know what a broken heart feels like now.......

Guestbook Comments = I got my best buddy "Smokey" from a small breed
rescue.  I was told he was aggressive and was even going to be put down.  Now,
he is the sweetest, most lovable dog.  He still has some "separation" issues, but
that is to be expected.  He is just the BEST dog and to see him sleep so soundly
knowing he is finally safe is an awesome thing to experience.  He is a five year old
pomeranian, I got him when he just was turning 3.  I will ALWAYS get a rescue
dog.

subject = My story
Guestbook Comments = I'm not very good in expressing myself in a letter but i'll
try anyway. The year was 1994,We have two daughters, now both are married. But
in 1991 our oldest daughter got a female Pomeranian. Her name was Britney. Then
shortly after our other daughter had to get a male pomeranian. She lived in our
inlaw apartment attached to our house, while our oldest lived in the main house. At
the time i had a pit bull i rescued from an owner that was very mean to his dog.i
met on a job.The owner treated him very bad. When i first came in contact with his
dog he was very friendly,i went up to him and began playing with him.The owner
heard me and came out of the house he was working in and was mad and jercked
the dogs rope that he had tied around his neck saying i was lucky i did not get
bit,He said the dog bites everyone .I looked down at the dog telling the owner he
was crazy that this was a very friendly dog.As i looked at the Pit Bull someting
inside said i had to have thi!
s dog.So i made him an offer he could not refuse and i purchase him, finding out
later that week when i took him to our vet that he was full of heartworms,He was 5
when i got him and lived through the treatments for heart worms and past away at
the age of 15.But he was a wonderfull dog and beleive it or not got along great
with our daughters Poms, all he needed was a loving owner.Anyway Britney and
Bailey had got together somehow behind our backs and had 4 pups.My
daughters wanted to sell them. She did manage to sell one to her friend it made
me sad because i was becoming attached to them all. But over time i fell for the
remaining 3.I ended up owning them for a small fee,you know how daugthers can
be.So a few years past and our oldest was getting married. So one day she came
to me and asked me if i wanted Britney the mother of my Poms that i have now.I
looked at her saying are you kidding me,then quickly answering yes.Britney was
so smart sometimes i thought she good understa!
nd english.Britney contracted a blood disorder in 1997.Its was hard ti
mes for both me and my wife for 8 months before she passed away in June of
1998.That was a sad day.Even our Vet was upset, we realy thought she was
going to get through her problems. But we still had our Sarella,Mitzy and
Benson, which helped out alot with our pain of loosing Britney. Now here i am
today April 2007.Just this past Feb,my little Mitzy came down with a spine
disorder, she was unable to walk. Our Vet had told us it wasn't looking good on
her xray.We held out hope, but it got to a point where she could not even get up at
all.So again came another sad day in our lives. We lost Mitzy on Feb 27 2007.So as
i said before, having our Sarella and Benson to greet us when we came home
from the Vet eased our pain a little. But now is April 6 2007. this past week our
Sarella at the age of 13 now has Nuclear Sclerosis. But the Vet gave her a good
bill of health. Our Benson can no longer hear, and has a little problem walking, but
is in good health for an old man.I just want to say,If al!
l humans good be like our pets what a world we would have.I realize that more
tough times are coming regarding Benson and our Sarella,But all the years of joy
and love will never be forgotten. "This is my Story"I own a small Construction
business and work is just picking up now.I saved your web address and will try
to make a donation a little later on.We need people in this world like yourselfs.

everything you have done to help poor innocent animals. I just wanted to tell you
how great it is that you actually care, and if there were more people in the world
